Ito is a Berlin-based textile brand dedicated to the art of interior decoration.
It was founded in 2015 by Ayako Matsuo, a textile artist from Japan, living and working in Berlin. ‘ito’ means string in Japanese and through the project she focused on home decor using textile techniques – macramé, weaving.
She started tufting in 2020 and continues to explore the medium as an art form. Ayako also provides hand tufting courses in her workshop.
All works are carefully handmade and self-designed in Berlin.
