Ito is a Berlin based textile work project focusing on home decoration and accessories.

It was founded in 2016 by Ayako Matsuo, a textile artist from Japan, living and working in Berlin.  ‘ito’ means string in Japanese and through the project she focused on home decor using textile techniques- macramé, weaving.

She started tufting in 2020 and continues to explore the medium as an art form. Ayako also provides tuftings courses in her workshop.

All works are carefully handmade and self-designed in Berlin.
