Drom is a Belgian based weaver. Her interest in weaving started in early childhood, but her opportunity to try it didn’t come until 2018, when she found a week-long weaving course. After that course, she continued learning on her own and with a goal of finishing a project she learned her favorite technique – double weave pick up – during the process. With her weaving, she is able to achieve surprisingly more than one could expect from a blanket or carpet. Among her illustrated blankets and carpets include a sheep counting blanket, the three little pigs and other fables told in pictographs. She puts just as much effort into her storytelling as she does into her craft. Her tapestries are stories combining a traditional look with a fresh and clever design.
